Meet our Musicians

Lynn Fleming - contrabass

Lynn Fleming graduated from the Juilliard School of Music after completing her earlier education at the High School for the Performing Arts. She embarked on a career as a freelance musician in New York City performing in various orchestral, ballet, and operatic venues.

For a decade, Ms. Fleming performed with The Symphony Orchestra of Maracaibo in Venezuela, under the direction of Eduardo Rahn. Upon returning to the US, Ms. Fleming joined the Juilliard MAP faculty, where she coached chamber and string bass ensembles and taught double bass.

Now a resident of the Washington metropolitan area, Ms. Fleming has a private studio and is an adjunct instructor of string bass at Hood College and Montgomery College. She has performed with several prestigious festival orchestras, including the Spoleto Festival of Two Worlds in Italy, the First Annual Contemporary Music Festival in South America, and Tanglewood.
