Jazz with Strings Attached II: Strings for Holiday

Program

To kick off our second decade of great string orchestra music, the Symphonia is returning to Jazz with Strings Attached. This time around, we are recreating the Lee Konitz album "Strings for Holiday." On this album, the cool-toned altoist payed tribute to two of his early idols. Billie Holiday and (in a more subtle fashion) tenor great Lester Young. Highlights include "The Man I Love," "I Cried For You," "All Of Me" and "Easy Living." Saxophonist Howard Burns will join us again for what is certain to be a memorable evening of great jazz.

No Scheduled Performances.
